Texas "Ranger" was born July 11, 2004, also in Ft. worth, Texas. He was named for the famous lawmen of Texas and for the Texas Rangers baseball organization. He flew with me from DFW to Little Rock the first week in September that year. He too, was 9 weeks old. He and Landry had the same father, Cactus Jack. (See below) Ranger is an absolute hoot! He is unquestionably the Alpha-male in this house. He has a big, bold meow (so uncharacteristic of Maine Coons). He is rowdy, clumsy, untrainable, narcissistic and goofy as he can be! Unlike Landry, he LOVES going to the vet because of the attention it affords him. He completely loses his mind over "people food" and, well, virtually anything that moves! His personality is very canine. The only time he ever leaves my side is to do something ridiculous, like catch his tail on fire or push bath oil beads from the tub on top of Landry's head! He also excels in raking my lipstick off the counter into his water bowl below. But most importantly, he loves me unconditionally.
